There is something special about choosing your own real Christmas tree. Pull on your wellies, wander through our Christmas tree fields and take your time finding the one that feels just right.
If you would prefer something quicker, you can choose from a wide selection of freshly cut trees in our covered barn. Our friendly team will be nearby to help you find the right variety and size, net your tree and help you get it ready for the journey home.
With more than 100,000 trees growing across the farm, there is plenty to choose from. We are just outside Lindfield, about ten minutes from Haywards Heath.
Two ways to get your tree
Make a morning of it on the farm, or order online and choose a delivery date that suits you.
At the farm
Visit Goddenwick Farm and choose your tree from one of our pick your own fields, or browse the freshly cut trees in the barn. Make a festive outing of it with the farm animals, the Bauble Barn Christmas shop and something warm from Roost.
Delivered to your door
You can also order one of our real British grown Christmas trees online through our sister website, Send Me a Christmas Tree. Choose your preferred tree, size and delivery date, and the team will select and freshly cut your tree before sending it directly to your door.

Christmas at Goddenwick
Choosing your tree is only part of the fun. Wrap up warm and make a proper visit of it.
Head out into the Christmas tree fields and find your favourite. Take as long as you like over it. Nobody will rush you.
Once you have chosen a tree in the field, you can cut it yourself for a proper farm Christmas, or ask one of the team to help.
Our Christmas shop, full of decorations, lights, gifts, wreaths and festive food. Worth a wander even if you already have your tree.
Roost is open daily through the season with winter warmers, local roasted coffee and something sweet to go alongside.
Warm up with a mulled wine and something hot from the festive food stalls in the barn, from cheese toasties to churros. There is live music at the weekends.
Say hello to the farm animals while you are here, our reindeer included. They live at Goddenwick all year round.
Our one kilometre woodland trail runs through ancient Sussex woodland and past the Christmas trees. A gentle walk to finish the visit.
Dogs are very welcome at Goddenwick, on a lead. Bring yours along for a wander through the trees, and there are usually a few festive spots for a photo.
Returning for Christmas 2026
We are delighted that Santa's Grotto will be returning to Goddenwick Farm this Christmas, in its Lapland inspired wooden cabin out among the trees.
This year's grotto will be run independently by West Sussex Mind, with proceeds supporting the charity's work. Tickets, booking enquiries and the running of the grotto are all managed directly by West Sussex Mind rather than Goddenwick Farm.

Santa's Grotto is an independently operated event run by West Sussex Mind. All bookings and enquiries relating to the grotto should be directed to the charity.
Tree varieties
From traditional, wonderfully scented spruce trees to soft needled, low drop firs, we grow a wide range of trees for homes of every shape and size.
Britain's favourite Christmas tree, with soft needles, a beautifully full shape and excellent needle retention.
The traditional Christmas tree, with a classic shape and that unmistakable festive scent.
A slimmer tree with soft needles, excellent needle retention and a lovely orangey fragrance.
A beautifully scented tree with good needle retention, particularly suited to smaller spaces.
Other specialist varieties and pot grown trees may also be available. Selection varies according to size and availability, and our final list for 2026 will be confirmed here before we open.

Prices
Our Christmas trees are individually priced according to their height, variety and quality, so you can choose the one that best suits your home and your budget.
Once you have chosen your tree, take it along to the payment booth and one of the team will measure it up for you.

Our Christmas 2026 dates are coming soon. Last season, Christmas tree sales opened on Saturday 22 November.
Hours for 2026 are still to be confirmed. Last season, tree picking ran from 9am to 5pm and the Bauble Barn Christmas shop from 10am to 4pm.
No booking is needed to visit the farm and choose a Christmas tree. Santa's Grotto is booked separately and in advance, through West Sussex Mind.

The Christmas tree fields are part of a working farm and it does not take many wet days to turn them muddy. Keep an eye on the forecast and bring your wellies.
Yes. If you choose a tree out in the field you are welcome to cut it yourself, and if you would rather not, one of the team will happily cut it for you.

Yes. There is a large selection of freshly cut, individually priced trees under cover in the barn, so you do not have to head out into the field if you would rather not.
Pot grown trees and other specialist varieties are sometimes available, though it depends on the season. Our confirmed selection for 2026 will be listed on this page before we open.
We grow trees for homes of every shape and size, from small trees for a flat to tall trees for a high ceiling. Trees are priced by height, so the price follows the size you choose.
Yes. The team will net your tree and give you a hand getting it ready for the journey home.

The yard and the barn are firm underfoot. The Christmas tree fields are working fields though, and they can be soft going after rain, so a sturdy buggy will do much better on a dry day. Ask the team when you arrive and they will point you the easiest way round.
